Are you able to critique how effective they are? Think about what the director was trying to present, how these elements represent conventions of horror and how well it is executed. - Also begin to consider theory in some more detail - Can you begin to see traces of Todorov's narrative theory (has it been followed or changed within each film?) alongside any other theories that you have covered?
